CJP Umar Ata Bandial takes suo motu notice on 'perceived interference' in  prosecution dept

The Chief Justice took suo moto notice of government interference in the investigative agencies.

A five-member bench headed by the Chief Justice of Pakistan will hear the case tomorrow. The judge’s note said that people in government positions were interfering in criminal matters and that there was a fear that this interference could affect prosecution matters.

According to the statement, the Chief Justice has fixed May 19 for a hearing of the suo motu notice.
